Anyone with an interest in marine history is welcome to join the Wisconsin Marine Historical Society. Members include sailors and former sailors, lighthouse enthusiasts, divers, historians, shipbuilders, active and retired Coast Guard and Naval personnel, shipping industry employee, and others who have an in marine history. All dues are used to fund the activities and publications of the WMHS.

Members of the Wisconsin Marine Historical Society receive Soundings,the Society's quarterly 20-page magazine, invitations to the Society's functions and events and a 25% discount on research services. Also, your membership entitles you to Inland Seas, the quarterly publication of the Great Lakes Historical Society in Vermilion, Ohio for only $20 per year.
